Duties and Responsibilities
- Pre-assemble job components
- Preparation of the installation site
- Pull inventory for solar photovoltaic installation jobs
- Attend mandatory training sessions including new products, installation methodology, and safety practices
- Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate and respectful manner, answering all questions and concerns to the best of your ability
- Layout of solar modules, array, and mounting hardware
- Safely attaching solar panels to the roofs of houses or other buildings and ensuring system performance
- Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Electrical wiring of solar arrays and systems (AC and DC)
- Provide documentation of completed solar installation jobs
- Clean up job sites upon job completion
- Additional duties required as needed
Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
- 1 year of roof work, general construction or carpentry experience
- Moving 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn and utilize various technologies (Google docs, Zoho, T.Sheets)
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Reliable and predictable attendance required
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (hot sun, wind, snow, crawl spaces etc.)
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10
